South Carolina injury report: Latest going into bye week

South Carolina hits the bye week with some bumps and bruises but in relatively good health coming out of a physical matchup with Kentucky on Saturday night.
Shane Beamer remained optimistic Sunday, including on offensive lineman Markee Anderson, who exited the game late with a knee injury.
“It was a physical game and glad that we came out of it in pretty good shape from an injury standpoint,” Beamer said on his weekly teleconference. “I don’t think Markee Anderson’s injury is going to be anything significant, or at least I hope not, he’s got an MRI coming up, but we’re optimistic on that one. Everybody else came out of it in pretty good health. The bye week is coming at a good time, there’s no question about it.”
South Carolina is also hoping the bye week allows for a couple of offensive linemen to get back to 100 percent.
Right tackle Cason Henry and center Nolan Hay both missed the Kentucky game. While Beamer didn’t provide a fresh update Sunday, he did say Saturday that both could be back for the next game.

“I would say that we’re optimistic for LSU in a couple of weeks,” Beamer said.
Henry was spotted in a sling on Saturday. He went down early in the Vanderbilt game, looked good to go for Missouri, but then exited with an injury on the same shoulder after just one play.
Hay made his first career start with South Carolina against Missouri but exited with a knee injury.
Saturday night marked a return to action for cornerback Judge Collier, who had missed all but the first nine snaps of the season. Collier came off the bench and played 18 snaps against the Wildcats as the staff eased him back into action coming off the knee injury.
The extra week off should do plenty to help his full return.
The Gamecocks will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 11, when they travel to Baton Rouge to face No. 13 LSU.
An official kickoff time won’t be revealed until Monday, but it will be sometime between 3:30 and 8 p.m. at Tiger Stadium.
