Durham (N.C.) C.E. Jordan four-star defensive tackle announced his commitment to South Carolina on Wednesday afternoon.

Noah Clark‘s post announcing his scholarship offer from South Carolina has been pinned to the top of his X account since October 2023 — it might be time for an update.

Nearly two years later, the Durham (N.C.) C.E. Jordan four-star defensive tackle announced his commitment to the Gamecocks on Wednesday afternoon, choosing them over finalists N.C. State, Virginia, and Virginia Tech.

“What I like about South Carolina is the staff and the atmosphere of the community,” Clark told Rivals Chad Simmons. “Every time me and my family go there, we have a great time and fall in love with the place.”

Clark, who took official visits to all four finalists, also holds offers from Duke, North Carolina, Georgia, Miami, Tennessee, Texas, Ohio State, Michigan, and LSU, among others.

He took his OV to Columbia on the second weekend of June.

“South Carolina really showed that they have a really home environment. You know, just a great staff, just great people, that’s what they’ve done,” Clark told GamecockCentral after the trip. “So that’s why I was able to get on this visit and have a great time with my family.”

Defensive line coach Travian Robertson was Clark’s recruiter of record

“Obviously, got to talk ball with him,” he said of spending time with Robertson on the official visit. “Also, like with Coach Beamer, talk to him as a human, as a person. Got to talk with his wife. My mom and his wife and some similar stories, especially having three boys around the house. So it was really good, really fun. Thankful talking to him and thankful to be on this great visit.”

“I can see the family environment he’s made at South Carolina,” he added about Shane Beamer to Simmons. “It really shows how he cares for his players on and off the field.”

According to the On3 Industry Ranking – a weighted average of all four major recruiting – Clark is rated as a four-star prospect and as the No. 275 prospect overall nationally. He is also rated as the 28th-best defensive tackle prospect in the country and as the 15th-best prospect in the state of North Carolina.

Clark is the 10th commitment in South Carolina’s 2026 class, which now features seven Blue Chip prospects. He is the second defensive tackle prospect, joining Matthews (N.C.) Weddington four-star Aiden Harris.
