South Carolina offensive line coach Lonnie Teasley has been relieved of his duties by head coach Shane Beamer, GamecockCentral has learned.

An official announcement will likely come later today (UPDATE: South Carolina has now confirmed the news).

Teasley was in his third season in the role after assuming it on a full-time basis when he replaced Greg Adkins in January of 2023.

Teasley initially took over the on-field coaching duties with the Gamecocks’ offensive line early in the 2022 season while Adkins was dealing with a minor health issue that limited his availability.

Teasley joined the South Carolina staff in 2021 as an offensive analyst after spending the previous two years as the offensive line coach at North Carolina Central University.

Elliott previously worked as the Gamecocks’ offensive line coach under head coach Steve Spurrier from 2010-15, and under Will Muschamp in 2016. In addition, he served as the Gamecocks’ interim head coach over the final six games of the 2015 season. Elliott also was the offensive line coach at Appalachian State from 2001-09. He returned to Columbia in 2024 after a seven-year stint at the head coach at Georgia State.

The Gamecocks (3-3, 1-3 SEC) will host the Oklahoma Sooners (5-1, 1-1 SEC) at 12:45 pm ET on Saturday, Oct. 18. The game will be televised on SEC Network.
