Shane Beamer gives Tuesday injury update on Nyck Harbor, Brandon Cisse

A few days after going to the hospital and spending the night in College Station as a precaution following an injury late in the Texas A&M game on Saturday, South Carolina wide receiver Nyck Harbor continued to progress on Tuesday.
Harbor, who landed hard on the turf and then had a defender land on his chest in the process of making a late fourth-quarter reception, and defensive back Brandon Cisse, are the two players Beamer was most concerned about exiting the Texas A&M game.
“They’re progressing,” Beamer said Tuesday during his weekly press conference. “Cisse was full-go today in practice. Nyck’s better than what he was a couple of days ago. Jalewis Solomon missed the game a couple of days ago with an injury. He’s trending in the right direction, I would say on those guys.”
Harbor finished with three catches for a career-high 102 yards, including an 80-yard touchdown catch and run he had in the second quarter that gave South Carolina a 27-3 lead at the time.
It is not known what Cisse’s injury was. Usually a key part of the Gamecock defensive backfield, he played just 28 snaps in the game.

While Beamer didn’t give specifics, he said last week that Solomon, who had started to play some on special teams, “aggravated something” in practice last Thursday.
South Carolina returns to action this week against Coastal Carolina at Williams-Brice Stadium. The matchup is set for a 4:15 p.m. kickoff on the SEC Network.
Since it isn’t an SEC game, South Carolina won’t provide an official SEC availability report this week. Beamer will, however, likely give a final injury report on Thursday night during his call-in show.
