How three family connections could skyrocket basketball recruiting

South Carolina Basketball Coach Lamont Paris is heading into year number four as the Gamecocks’ head basketball coach with a good bit of hype from his time spent in the transfer portal, bringing Meechie Johnson back home along with Kobe Knox and Mike Sharavjamts. All three transfers have had a lot of hype, and he also brought in some high school guys like Eli Ellis and Hayden Assemian, who had buzz around them. Fans hope this will be a breakout year for Cam Scott, a former five-star prospect. At one point, he finished his high school career as a high four-star and came into South Carolina last year, taking a backseat to develop. He entered the transfer portal but came back to South Carolina in the end after getting interest from multiple teams around the country.
