South Carolina first baseman Beau Hollins will be returning next season, he tells GamecockCentral.

“I’m here to stay for next year,” Hollins said. “I want to be part of turning this thing around.”

Hollins, a Lexington native, is now one of three players who have made it known they will be back for 2026. Talmadge LeCroy and KJ Scobey are the others who are currently set to return as well.

In his first year with the Gamecocks, Hollins hit .308 with six homers and 24 RBI in 46 games. He also finished with a .469 slugging and a .379 on-base percentage. The freshman had 11 multi-hit games, including three different four-hit performances.

In his time at first base, he only made four errors and fielded at a .989 clip, tied for the highest mark amongst regular starters on the team.

South Carolina is coming off its worst season in program history after finishing 28-29 (6-24 SEC) under head coach Paul Mainieri. The Gamecocks currently have three players who have entered the transfer portal in Ryan Bakes, Cayden Gaskin and Tyler June. The transfer portal will be open from June 2 to July 1 for all players to officially enter.
