Left-handed pitcher Bryce Navarre has committed to South Carolina, he announced on social media on Friday.

Navarre, who stands at 6-foot-1, 190 pounds, spent his freshman season at Texas in 2025, where he pitched in six games for the Longhorns. He went 1-0 with an 8.10 ERA, six strikeouts and eight walks in 6.2 innings of work.

He’s been playing in the California Collegiate League for the Santa Barbara Foresters, alongside fellow Gamecock commit Caleb Hoover. So far this summer, Navarre is 0-2 with a 10.38 ERA in 8.2 innings. He’s made five appearances with three starts and struck out 10 batters and walked 15.

Navarre hails from Montgomery, Texas, where he played at Montgomery High School and graduated in 2024. He was ranked as the No. 3 left-handed pitcher and No. 15 overall player in the state of Texas, according to Perfect Game.

Navarre was originally committed to play for Texas A&M, but he changed his mind and flipped his commitment when Texas hired former Aggies head coach Jim Schlossnagle after the 2024 season.

The transfer portal opened on Monday, June 2, and has now closed with no more players being allowed to enter. Navarre becomes the Gamecocks’ 17th transfer to join the program. He’ll have three years of eligibility remaining.
