South Carolina’s upcoming road trip to No. 3 Texas A&M won’t be easy, and as expected, Vegas agrees.

The Gamecocks opened as a 18.5-point underdog to the Aggies on Sunday, according to BetMGM.

The over/under on the game was set at 48.5 points.

South Carolina, which will be looking for its second win in a row against A&M, needs to pull off the upset to have any shot at getting bowl eligible.

The Gamecocks, at 3-6 overall and 1-6 in SEC play, need wins in their final three games to do so.

South Carolina has wins over Virginia Tech, S.C. State, and Kentucky, with losses to Vanderbilt, Missouri, LSU, Oklahoma, Alabama, and Ole Miss.

Texas A&M, coming off a 38-17 win at Missouri, enters the game 9-0 and 6-0 in SEC play.

In last year’s matchup between the two teams, South Carolina racked up 530 yards of offense, including 244 through the air and 106 on the ground from LaNorris Sellers as well as 144 rushing yards from Rocket Sanders in a 44-20 victory over then-No. 10 Texas A&M. The loss began a skid for the Aggies that knocked them out of playoff contention.

This season’s game is set for a noon kickoff in College Station, where the Gamecocks are 0-5 all-time. ESPN will carry the action.
