Left-handed pitcher Hudson Lee has committed to South Carolina, he announced on social media Tuesday evening.

This will be the third stop in Lee’s college career after spending time at both Wake Forest and Clemson.

Lee, a Roebuck, SC native, who pitched at nearby Dorman High School, appeared in two games at Wake Forest in 2024. In two years with the Demon Deacons, he had an 18.00 ERA in one inning of work, striking out three and walking one.

He then transferred to Clemson for the 2025 season and pitched exclusively out of the bullpen, appearing in 15 games. He finished with a 5.79 ERA in 14 innings and struck out 19 batters with 13 walks. Opponents hit .192 against him as he only gave up one home run all year.

The transfer portal opened on Monday, June 2, and has now closed with no more players being allowed to enter. Lee becomes the Gamecocks’ 16th transfer to join the program. He’ll have two years of eligibility remaining.
