South Carolina running back Rahsul Faison will take part in the 2026 Senior Bowl, the all-star showcase announced on Tuesday.

He joins fellow Gamecock Jalon Kilgore (a junior defensive back) with a Senior Bowl invitation. Kilgore announced his decision to skip his senior season last week. However, no official word has come in regarding his status for the Mobile, Alabama-based all-star game.

Faison, who spent one year in garnet and black, had previous stops at multiple junior colleges, Marshall, and Utah State. He was a four-star transfer portal addition for USC during this past offseason. Famously, South Carolina then engaged in a long battle with the NCAA regarding Faison’s eligibility. “#freeSul” became a rallying cry for the team until he was cleared a week before the season began.

With the Gamecocks, Faison logged just under 600 yards from scrimmage and a trio of touchdowns. Despite a struggling blocking game in front of him, he averaged 4.9 yards per carry this fall. He was a primary starter and ran for at least 50 yards in every game in which he had double-digit carries.

A long list of former South Carolina football standouts have improved their NFL Draft stock at the Senior Bowl. Quarterback Spencer Rattler was even the game’s MVP in 2024.

Faison was not one of the Gamecocks on the Senior Bowl’s preseason watch list. Kilgore and quarterback LaNorris Sellers were the only two. Sellers is expected back at South Carolina for the 2026 season.

Faison is one of six running backs who have confirmed their intentions to play in this year’s Senior Bowl. Joining him are Alabama’s Jam Miller, Arkansas’ Mike Washington Jr., Washington’s Jonah Coleman, and Penn State duo Nick Singleton and Kaytron Allen.
