South Carolina softball adds big bat from Texas

South Carolina softball’s new commitment total is up to three in the last two days and six in the last week as one of the top bats in Texas announced for the Gamecocks on Wednesday.
Corpus Christi (Texas) Veterans Memorial class of 2027 “utility” Parker Malone announced her pledge to Ashley Chastain Woodard‘s South Carolina program on Wednesday.
Malone had an insane sophomore season at the plate, posting school records of 23 home runs and 87 RBI, while batting .626. That was reportedly the top RBI total in the state and the top home run total in the country for her class.
She plays shortstop in high school and outfield for her Blaze United 18U team, but joins the Carolina program as a utility player.

Her commitment comes after she took an official visit to South Carolina two weekends ago.
