South Carolina women's basketball: Agot Makeer to miss Louisville trip
South Carolina freshman Agot Makeer is in concussion protocol and will not travel with the team for Thursday’s ACC/SEC Challenge game against Louisville.
Dawn Staley declined to offer any details about Makeer’s status, including when Makeer went into concussion protocol.
Makeer was not at practice on Wednesday. It is normal for players in concussion protocol not to be allowed to fly.
Through the first six games of her career, Agot Makeer averaged 7.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.3 assists. She shot 47.1% from the floor and averaged 18.7 minutes, usually the first player off the bench.

NEW! Message board for South Carolina Women’s Basketball! 🏀
In Las Vegas, Makeer averaged 2.0 points and 3.0 rebounds on just 2-7 shooting. She played 16 minutes against Duke, her fewest since leaving the Bowling Green game with a minor injury. Then she played just three minutes against Texas, all at the beginning of the second quarter.
Makeer got bumped in the head going for a rebound, but stayed in the game and didn’t appear to be hurt. She remained on the bench for the rest of the game and was apparently allowed to fly home.
Partly because of Makeer’s limited playing time against Texas, South Carolina’s bench produced a total of two points, seven rebounds, two assists, and two blocks, all by either Maddy McDaniel or Adhel Tac.
