South Carolina is hosting Jerzy Robinson, a 6-1 guard from Los Angeles, for her official visit this weekend.

Once the top-ranked recruit in the class, Robinson is currently ranked third by Rivals and fifth by ESPN. She is an elite shooter and scorer who plays physically for a guard.

South Carolina gets Robinson on campus at a good time. The Gamecocks host Anderson in an exhibition on Friday night; it is homecoming weekend, football hosts Alabama on Saturday, and has a huge recruiting weekend of its own.

Robinson sat behind the Gaemcock bench and was serenaded by chants of “We want Jerzy.” She was joined by Kaeli Wynn, who took her official visit to South Carolina on the weekend of September 5.

A’ja Wilson is in town, as is former Gamecock Te-Hina Paopao. Paopao and Robinson are both of Samoan descent. There should also be other former players around, given that it is homecoming (Allisha Gray attended shoot-around).

Robinson has won three gold medals playing for USA Basketball. She has played in the 2023 U-16 Americas Championship, 2024 U-17 World Cup, and 2025 U-19 World Cup. Robinson was the MVP of the 2023 and 2024 tournaments.

Robinson has been extremely private with her recruitment process. She has not announced a list of finalists and has barely publicized her visits.

Robinson is believed to be deciding between LSU, UConn, and South Carolina. She visited LSU on the weekend of October 10. Robinson reportedly visited UConn last weekend, but even that visit, if it happened, was shrouded in secrecy.

Robinson is originally from Phoenix, Arizona, where she starred at Desert Vista and won a state championship. Before her sophomore season, she transferred to Sierra Canyon in Los Angeles to take advantage of California’s NIL laws, which permit high school players to sign endorsement deals.

Sierra Canyon is famous as the school of choice for NBA players to send their children. It has also produced stars like JuJu Watkins, Vanessa De Jesus, and Mackenly Randolph. Multiple reports state that Robinson developed a close relationship with South Carolina assistant coach Wendale Farrow, who was formerly at Southern Cal.

Robinson took advantage of California’s NIL laws to sign an endorsement deal with Nike. She is represented by Kultch Sports, the same agency that represents Wilson and numerous other current and former Gamecocks.

“Being able to sign with Nike at 15 (years old) has just changed my life,” Robinson told On3’s Talia Goodman. “Sometimes you have to take risks, but the reward is always greater. I still don’t believe it’s real. All the time, the hard work, the testimony, the struggle, the sacrifice and the tears – it just all comes to fruition and to be able to be signed by Nike has just changed my life.”

South Carolina is playing its final season as an Under Armour school. Nike takes over as the Gamecocks’ apparel provider on July 1, 2006, and the contract makes women’s basketball a high-profile part of the agreement.

South Carolina has one commitment for the 2026 class, post Kelsi Andrews. The Gamecocks have also hosted Wynn, and have been linked to Brihanna Crittendon, Alicia Tournebize, and Sara Okeke. Wynn has said she intends to take an official visit to Stanford, but has yet to do so.
