South Carolina women's basketball: Gamecocks in the WNBA - Preseason viewing guide

The WNBA preseason gets underway on Friday night. Find out how to watch the former – and one future – Gamecocks.

The WNBA is offering a free League Pass Preview during the preseason. All of the games are available to view in one way or another.

Of particular interest is the Chicago Sky and Indiana Fever, which are playing a preseason game against the Brazilian national team. Incoming South Carolina freshman Ayla McDowell is a member of the team and is available to play.

McDowell has been impressive on the spring all-star circuit, but playing against WNBA teams, even in the preseason, will be a much stiffer test. Regardless of how she plays, it’s a great learning experience that not many young players get to experience.
