South Carolina women's basketball: Gamecocks make top 2026 Recruit McKenna Woliczko's final four

McKenna Woliczko, one of the top recruits in the 2026 class, has announced her top four schools, and South Carolina made the cut.
Woliczko made the announcement on social media on Thursday. Along with South Carolina, her other top four are Iowa, Ohio State, and Southern Cal.
A 6-2 wing from Archbishop Mitty in California. Woliczko is the sixth-ranked recruit in the class of 2026, according to the On3 industry rankings and ESPN’s HoopGurlz rankings. Last week, ESPN named Woliczko the 11th-best recruit regardless of class.
Woliczko tore her ACL in January and missed the rest of the season and summer tournaments. A two-sport athlete, Woliczko also missed her junior season of softball. She is expected to make a full recovery.
Woliczko has often played in the post in high school, and she is an outstanding rebounder. At the 2024 U17 World Cup, Woliczko grabbed 17 rebounds against Japan to tie the all-time USA rebounding record.
Woliczko projects to play more on the perimeter in college. She is a good shooter and passer who moves well without the ball. During her rehab, Woliczko has worked on her shooting and has 50-40-90 potential.

Woliczko took an official visit to Ohio State in April. She also took unofficial visits to Iowa and Southern Cal. She will take official visits later in the year.
Woliczko took an unofficial visit to South Carolina in the summer of 2024. She plans to take her official visit on June 30.
Woliczko talked to On3’s Talia Goodman about her four finalists. Here’s what she said about South Carolina:
“I love Dawn [Staley] and the rest of the coaching staff. I think that South Carolina is, when you’re looking to get to that next level, like the WNBA, South Carolina will help you get there. So I think that’s really cool to think about. They’re just recruiting the best of the best, so then you’re able to play with top players in the country, and that’s what it’s going to be like playing in the pros. I think it’d be cool to figure that out at the college level, instead of being pushed right into that at the pro level.”
Woliczko also took an official visit to Vanderbilt in May. She shared that visit with Kate Harpring, another top 2026 recruit that South Carolina is pursuing.
