Happy first day of revenue sharing, everyone! For the July 4 holiday week, it has already been surprisingly eventful. Let’s get caught up on all the activity, shall we?

Gamecock All-Stars
On Monday, A’ja Wilson was named an All-Star starter for the sixth time in her seven appearances. Aliyah Boston is now a three-time starter. Allisha Gray is making her third appearance, but first as a starter. Read the full story.

WNBA roster moves
It was a busy day for roster moves, and unfortunately, two Gamecocks are looking for new homes. Bree Hall was waived by Golden State, and Tiffany Mitchell was waived by Las Vegas.

New York state of mind
On Saturday, I wrote about the New York Knicks reaching out to Dawn Staley about their vacant head coaching job. Athletics director Jeremiah Donati confirmed to ON3’s Talia Goodman that the Knicks did ask for permission to speak to Staley. “If I were them, I would have called her, too,” he said.

Official Visits
Wing McKenna Woliczko, the sixth-ranked player in the On3 industry rankings, is taking her official visit to South Carolina from July 1 to July 3. South Carolina, Iowa, Ohio State, and Southern Cal are her finalists.

Woliczko is the second 2026 recruit to take an official visit to South Carolina. Top-ranked Saniyah Hall visited Columbia in May.

AmeriCup update
Brazil is 2-0 with wins over Argentina and Canada. Kamilla Cardoso was huge in the narrow win over Canada with 19 points, 11 rebounds, five blocks, and three steals. Ayla McDowell, one of the youngest players on the senior national team, has not played.

Brazil plays the Dominican Republic at 11:40 ET on Tuesday.

Team USA moved to 3-0 with a tough win over Puerto Rico on Monday. Joyce Edwards is averaging 13.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 2.0 steals, all team-highs.

Team USA does not play on Tuesday.

Upcoming
On Tuesday afternoon, transfers Ta’Niya Latson and Madina Okot will meet with the media for the first time. These are informal sessions, and I’ll have a quick update later in the afternoon. Extended Q&As will come later.

The incoming freshmen, Agot Makeer and Ayla McDowell, will meet with the media at a later date. McDowell is unavailable because she is in Chile competing in the AmeriCup Tournament for Brazil.
