South Carolina women's basketball: Recruits to watch at the adidas 3SSB Girls Live Session

The 2025 adidas 3SSB Girls Live Session I is April 25-27 in Rock Hill, SC. Some of the top recruits in the country will be in attendance.
There are also events in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and elsewhere. Players (and coaches) are spread around the country.
There are five players I will be paying the most attention to.
Kate Harpring, PG, 5-10
2026 On3 Industry rank: 2
Southeast All Stars
Harpring was a big riser last summer, and everyone is trying to land the Atlanta native. Last fall, Dawn Staley even drove down to watch Harpring play after hosting another recruit in Columbia that morning.
Oliviyah Edwards, F, 6-3
2026 On3 Industry rank: 6
Northwest Greyhounds
Williams might be the best pure athlete in the class. There aren’t many posts in the class, which makes a big, strong forward even more attractive.

Amari Byles, W, 6-2
2026 On3 Industry rank: 14
Southwest Select
Byles has a lot of potential, but opinions on her are still all over the map. South Carolina has two recent signees from Texas (Ayla McDowell and Adhel Tac) and could be looking at another one.
Kaleena Smith, PG, 5-6
2027 HoopGurlz rank: 1
7 Days
Smith is considered a generational talent and was one of the best players on the circuit last year, regardless of class. She’s small, but it doesn’t seem to matter.
Nation Williams, F, 6-2
2027 HoopGurlz rank: 14
Utah Lady Prospects
Williams started to come on this past season, and she’s got a WNBA pedigree (and ties to Staley). Williams’ listed height is a little short for a post, but her mom Natalie was the same height and she won a gold medal and led the WNBA in rebounding.
