South Carolina basketball teams learn ACC/SEC Challenge matchup details

On Wednesday, ESPN announced scheduling details for the 2025-2026 season’s ACC/SEC Challenge. Both the South Carolina women’s basketball team and men’s basketball team already knew their opponents for the December non-conference battles. However, now they know the rest of the details ahead of this year’s Challenge.

Dawn Staley’s South Carolina women’s basketball squad will hit the road for a trip to Louisville. Tip-off for the Thursday, December 4th contest is set for 7:00 p.m. ESPN will handle the broadcast, while the ESPN app makes it available via streaming. The game will be part of an ESPN doubleheader, preceding LSU-Duke. It will also be the third in a row away from home for USC, as the Gamecocks will be in Las Vegas for the Players Era Championship the week before.

For Lamont Paris’ men’s South Carolina basketball squad, Tuesday, November 2nd will mark the date for the program’s third ACC/SEC Challenge. The Gamecocks will take on the Virginia Tech Hokies in Colonial Life Arena at 7:00 p.m. SEC Network will carry the broadcast, while the ESPN app streams the action. Miami and Ole Miss will then play in the second leg of the SEC Network doubleheader. Carolina has defeated Va Tech the past two seasons.
