Everyone wants to know what will happen when the season begins in two weeks. I tasked ChatGPT with simulating the upcoming season.

This is just for fun. Because of the number of teams and players involved, plus unpredictable variables like injuries, the margin for error is significant. Even with that acknowledgment, ChatGPT’s high expectations for Texas A&M and low expectations for Alabama are enough to cast some pretty serious doubt on the simulation.

Because of the amount of information, I’ve split the simulation into two sets – the regular season and the postseason. Here are the predictions for South Carolina based on 1,000 simulations.

South Carolina’s Average Record: 28–4 (14–2)

SEC Standings Probabilities:
1st (58%)
2nd (27%)
3rd (10%)
4th+ (5%)

Notable Games:
November 26, 2025: Defeated Duke at the Players Era Championship in Las Vegas.
November 27, 2025: Secured a victory against Texas in the second game.
January 22, 2026: Triumphed over Oklahoma in a high-profile matchup.

ChatGPT provided some other predictions. Among those are big seasons for Madina Okot, Ayla McDowell, and Agot Makeer to compensate for the loss of Chloe Kitts.

South Carolina is a dominant SEC team with more than a 50% chance of winning the conference. Joyce Edwards is the most consistent standout, particularly in postseason play.

Ta’Niya Latson is the offensive engine, and defensive contributions from Tessa Johnson swing outcomes in tight matchups.

SEC Standings (average simulated finish)
South Carolina – 1.18

Texas – 2.88
Tennessee – 4.54
