Sunday injury report: South Carolina most concerned about two guys

South Carolina football coach Shane Beamer said Saturday following the Gamecocks’ 29-20 loss to Missouri that his team was dealing with “a lot” of injuries.
On Sunday, during his weekly teleconference, he provided the latest on several players who are banged up.
“Injury-wise, we got out of it fairly okay,” Beamer said Sunday. “I would say right now Gabe Dindy and Cason Henry are the two that we’re most concerned about and we’ll have another update for ya injury-wise on Wednesday night.”
Henry, South Carolina’s starting right tackle, was injured in the Vanderbilt game and did not return in that one but was able to start again this week.
Unfortunately, he went down again on the first play against Missouri and did not return with what the SEC Network broadcast said was a shoulder injury.
DQ Smith was taken off the SEC injury report before the game. But when the game started, he wasn’t out on the field with the rest of the defensive starters.
“DQ had a little bit of a quad contusion that flared up in pregame warmups and said he couldn’t go,” Beamer said Saturday night.

Beamer also mentioned Trovon Baugh as another player who had been dealing with an injury heading into the game. He didn’t see any action on Saturday.
“He’s kind of had a nagging injury this week,” Beamer said Saturday. “He was available, but he wasn’t 100 percent.”
Baugh had started the first three games of the season at right guard. He was on the field during pregame warmups in full uniform. But he wasn’t a part of the first or second team offensive lines during that time.
South Carolina will be back at home on Saturday, Sept. 27, before heading into its first bye week. The Gamecocks will face Kentucky at 7:45 p.m. on SEC Network.
