What Texas A&M head coach Buzz Williams said after win over South Carolina

Following a 76-72 win over South Carolina on Saturday night in Columbia, Texas A&M head coach Buzz Williams spoke to the media after the game. Below is a summary of what he had to say.
Question – Hitting nine threes in the first half. How did that set the tone?
– Typically, the team doesn’t even hit nine in a game. Thought both teams had a very high volume of threes in the first ten minutes. Over the last six to seven minutes in the first half, the trend slowed a bit. In the second half, it was more how the Aggies needed to play, scheme-wise. The game was a bit fast in the first ten minutes.
Question – South Carolina had a more efficient game offensively than they typically do? What happened?
– Unlike any team the Aggies have played so far. 23% of the team’s points had come from the free throw line in SEC games. That’s a lot. The team schemed the right way, somewhat out of sorts for the first ten minutes. The game was one of the most physical that the Aggies have played all year.

Question – Taylor had a great game. He seemed like he was always pointing out things on the court. How valuable is he?
– Incredibly grateful and very aware. He’s very aware, creates a calmness that the whole team feeds off of. Taylor orchestrates most of the team’s “are we on the same page” questions.
Question – How valuable is the team’s depth?
– Have lost just one game with the entire roster playing. Have had some nagging issues, but the training staff has been phenomenal. The physicality of the league is a lot. It’s a lot on every team, every individual. It’s a cumulative effort. Missed Solomon Washington in the last game, missed that 10th guy.
