2-Minute Drill: Big Orange BBQ

Tennessee had an impressive number of prospects on campus Saturday for the “Big Orange BBQ” to close out the month of May. The group consisted mainly of 2027 and 2028 prospects that the Vols are paying close attention to early on in the process.
The headliner was the son of former Vol Jason Witten. Cooper Witten is the top-rated 2027 Linebacker and obviously was a point of focus. He felt the love from his dad’s Alma Mater.
“They really show me that they have a plan for me, and that I am not just another guy to them,” Witten said of this. “They think I can be a program changer which is huge that they believe in me. I think it is great being able to come up on this trip and talk ball with Coach Inge and Coach Banks and see how smart they are and the plan they have for me.”
Tennessee played host to highly sought-after defenders
Top-rated cornerback Joshua Dobson made it to town for the event. He was joined by a coveted group of four-star defensive backs in Ace Alston, Larry Moon, Jaylen Scott, Marquis Bryant, Censere Gaylord, Aaryn Washington, and Duvay Williams, among several other defensive backs.
Anthony Sweeney has built a strong relationship with Tennessee’s outside linebacker coach Levorn Harbin.

“The relationship with him is just great and so genuine because he shows so much love,” Sweeney said of Harbin. “It is just a real relationship, and it has been great just getting to talk to him and getting to know him.”
Vols host tailbacks
Tennessee hosted multiple talented running backs this weekend with David Gabriel Georges and Tyson Robinson both in town. Gabriel Georges had a fantastic day.
“It was great,” Gabriel Georges said. “I like coach Sims and coach Heupel. They are so nice to me family and me. This was the first time my family has been able to come. It was great and I could show them around.”
