4-star Vols TE Carson Sneed talks final official visit to Tennessee

Nashville (Tenn.) Donelson Christian Academy four-star tight end Carson Sneed has been committed to Tennessee for months, but that has not stopped other programs from recruiting him. He was back on Rocky Top to end a month long slate of official visits, and he shares the latest with Volquest.
Sneed enjoyed bonding with Tennessee Tight Ends Coach Alec Abeln once again.
“Just being back around Coach Abeln and the guys was great,” Sneed said of the visit. “We have already done everything you can pretty much think of by now. He has coached me up, and I have sat in and watched his meetings. I do not think there is much more I can uncover from him as a person. He is a great person, and he is an even better coach.”
The four-star also got plenty of time with Tennessee Head Coach Josh Heupel. The topic centered around Sneed’s potential usage.
“They talked about the tight ends they have had in the past, and what they have done with all of them,” he said of this. “They think I can be a freshman all-american and make it to the NFL. They want me to be that for them.”
The message from Tennessee to Sneed was pretty simple.
“They just want me to be in this class,” he said of this. “They want me to realize that I am highly comfortable with them, and that I will not be a stranger to anyone when I come here. I will know the people. They just told me to keep that in mind. Gabriel, Tyreek and Faizon were all on me about it all weekend.”

Sneed says he wants to have a final decision made in the next couple of weeks.
“I still have something to do,” he said. “I want to go where I am going to be developed the most and get to the NFL because that is the ultimate end-goal, the NFL.”
