Beyond the Orange: Wendall Moe
Tennessee starting guard Wendell Moe has been an instant impact transfer since coming over from Arizona this past offseason. He went Beyond the Orange sponsored by Knoxville Smiles this week to detail his growth on Rocky Top.
“First and foremost I wanted to play at this level,” Moe said. “I think I can compete with anybody anywhere. The timing when I came on my visit, I was able to meet the offensive line room and I liked the energy that everybody had. That was one of my main things. Then just meeting the coaches and everything in the environment, I just felt like I could get better as a person and as a football player.”
He loves being in Knoxville. He has bought in two playing in this conference and all of the traditions that come with Tennessee football like running through the T and the Vol walk.
“I just have been playing football,” Moe said. “I have found that I like football a lot more playing with these guys. Our coaching staff believing in us and everything. I feel like I’m finding that joy for football and it’s exploding a lot more than it has the last few years.”
