Faizon Brandon details his official visit

The marquee piece to the 2026 recruiting class has been Faizon Brandon for a year. He was in town for his official visit this weekend and talked about all things Tennessee with Volquest.
“I would say it was great, being able to come back with a new set of guys and being able to recruit them. We had some wide receivers here that I was working on. Overall it was a great visit,” Brandon said.
Brandon spent his weekend working on players like Tristen Keys and Legend Bey. So how does he approach players when he is recruiting them?
“Overall I’m mostly just talking to them about the offense and how much we pass the ball and spread it around. It’s a great offense, great O-lineman and there’s a chance to play early.
Brandon is hopeful of bringing in other key pieces to this class. He fell in love with Tennessee and that feeling is as strong as ever after this weekend. He still hears from other schools, but not with any intensity.

“I think they know that I’m a hard commit to Tennessee,” Brandon said. “They still text me every now and then.”
He loves Tennessee offensive coordinator Joey Halzle and the relationship they have built over the last two years.
“We spent a lot of time together. We’re building a relationship,” Brandon said.
Now he will head to California for the Elite 11 finals next weekend. It’s a chance to compete against other top quarterbacks.
“I’m just looking forward to going out there and competing and having fun,” Brandon said, adding that while he won’t be in Knoxville next weekend he’ll be available to help with recruiting, “I’m sure that coach will call me and put me on the phone with anybody he wants me to talk to, I’ll just be on stand-by and ready to talk to anybody they want me to.”
