In-state four-star Zach Groves signs with Tennessee, always wanted to be a Vol
East Robertson (Tenn.) four-star EDGE Zach Groves committed to Tennessee in May, and he has never look back. Now, he is getting to live out what he always wanted after signing with the Vols moments ago.
“I mean, it sounds crazy, but I am excited it is over,” Groves told Volquest prior to signing. “Since day one, I have known that Tennessee was where I wanted to be and play. I am from hear, and it is a team I grew up watching and that had my favorite players on it. I am just really excited to graduate early and get up there and be around the people up there.”
Groves is younger for this class, and he knows he can continue to grow and develop along his journey, and this something he is excited for.

“Everybody says they can go up there and play from the jump, but I am not going to say that,” Groves said of this. “I am going to go up there and do whatever they tell me to do because I believe in them to develop me. So once I get up there, I am going to work my tail off to get a starting role and be the person they think I can be.”
The Scout on Zach Groves
“Zach Groves is an athletic pass rusher that makes a lot of plays on friday night on both sides of the ball. He reallyimpresses us with his play speed and his effort in backside pursuit. You see him make plays behind the line of scrimmage with his athleticism and ability to chase down ball carriers. He plays with a high motor and a really encouraging effort level. We also see him make plays as a pass-catcher on offense. He just finds ways to impact the game with physicality and the way that he plays hard which you always want to see. I think he can continue to improve as a finisher in the backfield, but he certainly shows the skillset you like as a pass-rusher. He is a nice in-state pickup on the EDGE for Tennessee. A guy who projects well with what they do on defense.”- On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power
