Jordon Davison hearing more from Tennessee

California running back Jordon Davison continues to see more traction in the recruiting process. He is hearing more from Tennessee and others as he builds bonds across the country.
“It’s going great,” Davison said. “It’s going like I want it to go. Just building relationships and getting to see the country a little bit,”
So what does he know about Tennessee? He has heard great things from the staff and his teammates who visited back in January.
“They have a historic program,” Davison said. “I heard the state and city are great and have a great environment to thrive in.”
Tennessee has a new running backs coach in De’Rail Sims and one of the first backs he reached out to was Davison.
“He seems like a good guy and he has developed good backs in the past,” Davison said. “I feel like he will do a good job at Tennessee.

“He hit me up when he first got there and told me how special he thinks the place can be and how I can contribute to the team. He said I’m an overall well rounded player who can thrive in any offense. He sees a lot of things that can translate to the next level.”
He has also been talking to head coach Josh Heupel and sees playmakers making plenty of plays in a fast paced and high octane offense.
“He seems real down to earth and I like the scheme of offense he runs,” Davison said. “I’m just continuing to build relationships with the staff. Just seeing where it goes and seeing what they do with the program.”
At the current moment Davison doesn’t have anything trios planned to Tennessee but that could change.
“I might,” Davison said. “I’m going to out there near it so I might hit up Tennessee.”
Tennessee has one running back committed and plans to take multiple backs in the 2025 class.
