Kadin Fife details commitment to Tennessee

Chattooga defensive lineman Kadin Fife picked Tennessee on Friday afternoon and he detailed his decision with Volquest ahead of going public at his ceremony.
“The scheme of defense, the vertical scheme. I feel like I fit good in with that,” Fife recalled why he chose Tennessee.
The 2027 product came up to Knoxville last week and told the staff. He was excited to spend time with them and tell them the good news.
“They were excited that I was committed,” Fife said. “I was very excited to. They were happy that I’m a Vol and that I will fit in good there.”
At 6-foot-5 and near 300 pounds, Fife brings power and quick twitch to the defensive interior.
“I feel like I bring speed, power, a good get off, all of it. Being able to run stop and pass rush.”
Tennessee showed Fife he is important
Fife has felt like Tennessee was a good spot since his first visit to Knoxville. Why? Because he felt like he was coveted by the staff.
“They showed me I’m a priority and an option and that they want me real bad,” Fife said.

His visit this past week just solidified everything for him because he was able to watch Coach Rodney Garner in his element.
“Just to be around the staff more and hang out with them,” Fife said. “Just watching coach G coach, he is an old school coach that’s going to be hard on his players on the field, but their family off the field.”
And that is the type of coach he wants to play for. He wants to be developed.
“He’s a good coach,” Fife said. “He’s hard on his players as he pushes them to be better. He can turn you into a dog.”
He was also able to meet with Josh Heupel and learn more about him and his vision for Tennessee football.
“He’s a good coach and he has built Tennessee up with the good recruiting classes that he keeps bringing in,” Fife said. “He’s a good person and understanding.”
