For the second time in a month, Clarksville offensive tackle Kamari Blair was at Tennessee. Before leaving town on Saturday night, he caught up with Volquest to detail his visit.

“It was great,” Blair said. “It was very personal even though there was four offensive lineman here but I mean two of them were committed. I hung around them a lot more than I’ve hung around a lot of recruits and I really clicked with my host, Nic (Moore). All the coaches like constantly like making sure I’m good asking how I’m doing and having conversations. It was a real good visit.”

Blair is done with official visits after visiting Wisconsin, Ole Miss, South Carolina and Tennessee. Leaving town he was asked where Tennessee stands as he heads on his family vacation?

“They are up there,” Blair said. “I’m not going to say where but they are up there.”

So what puts Tennessee up there?

“You know I’m from Tennessee and I grew up watching them and then just like the connection I have built with coach Elarbee, coach Heupel and coach KP (Kevin Pendleton),” Blair said. “Like it’s all real good real real comfortable.”

He spent the last couple of days with Glen Elarbee. He has really grown fond of the veteran offensive line coach.

“He’s just very genuine,” Blair said. “That’s like the number one thing is he’s super genuine, honest. He hasn’t lied to me one time, good or bad he just tells the truth.

He was also able to spend time with Josh Heupel. He had his meeting with him on Saturday and just felt at ease talking to him.

“Very personable guy and very easy to talk to,” Blair said. “I played games with him, played cornhole with him and putted with him outside his office. He just spends time and then the way he spends time with his players when they’re around is just like super genuine.”

Blair is going on a family vacation and then after he returns in early July is when he will work towards a decision. It’s time to do some thinking.

“After my trip,” Blair said. “This recruiting stuff has been pretty tiring. So I’m gonna take this trip. I’m a turn off my phone for the two weeks and I’m gonna spend time with myself and think about my decision. Pray about it. And then, probably after the two weeks it’ll be somewhere around there.”
