Keysaun Eleazer recaps Tennessee official visit

Raleigh, North Carolina edge Keysaun Eleazer was in town this weekend for his Tennessee official visit. After the visit wrapped, Volquest caught up with him to get the reaction as his recruitment starts to speed up down the stretch.
“I enjoyed getting around the players, having a chance to hang out with them and continue to build with a relationship with the coaching staff,” Eleazer said. “I like how they go about things. They keep everything real and show me that I’m a priority.”
Eleazer said defensive coordinator Tim Banks and outside linebackers coach Chop Harbin are is best relationships on the staff. Coach Chop has been on him for a minute.
“He has been recruiting me hard even before he offered me and got the promotion to the outside linebackers coach,” Eleazer said. “So me and him have developed a good relationship over the years.”
As for Banks, he has been a frequent visitor to Raleigh to recruit.
“Coach Banks and I have a good relationship as well,” Eleazer said. “When he first got here, he reached out and then he came by the school a couple of times to build a relationship on short notice.”

And then there is Josh Heupel. He resonates with players because of his genuineness.
“I feel like he has a good character away from the game of football,” Eleazer said. “So I feel like he’s a good overall player as well as a good coach as he helped transform the Tennessee program into college football powerhouse within a few years.”
So after this weekend, does he see himself in Knoxville? Is Tennessee a realistic option?
“Definitely a realistic option that I would be considering when I commit next month,” Eleazer said. “I’m looking for a program that will develop me on and off the field. One that I feel I have good relationships where it’s built on trust and has the education piece.”
And if he ended up in Knoxville, he believes he would bring a lot to the table.
“I would bring good energy,” Eleazer said. “I would work hard and give my all every day if I’m going here.”
