Look: Mississippi State's 'Snow Bowl' uniforms for white out game vs. No. 15 Tennessee

Mississippi State will honor the 25th anniversary of an Independence Bowl win over Texas A&M on Saturday when the Bulldogs wear all white against No. 15 Tennessee at Davis Wade Stadium in Starkville.
State announced the white out in August, pairing the all-white road uniform with a white helmet with the maroon interlocking MSU logo and a maroon facemask and helmet stripe.
Tennessee on Thursday announced it would be wearing orange jerseys, orange pants and its traditional white helmets for the road game, which is scheduled for a 4:15 p.m. Eastern Time start on SEC Network.
The 2000 Mississippi State team beat Texas A&M 43-41 in the Independence Bowl, played in a snowstorm in Shreveport, La. Former Mississippi State coach Jackie Sherrill and members of the 2000 Mississippi State team will be invited back to Starkville and recognized during the game, according to a press release.
Mississippi State will also do a white out in the crowd for the Tennessee game.

The Vols haven’t worn their home orange jersey in a true road game since the 30-27 overtime win in 2005 at LSU, where the Tigers traditionally wear white at home.
Tennessee wore its Smokey Grey alternate in its 40-13 win at LSU in 2022 and wore orange in Baton Rouge in 2000 and 2010. The Vols wore white in a 20-0 win at LSU in 1990, with the Tigers in purple jerseys.
Tennessee is in its final season in Nike uniforms under its current apparel contract. The Vols on July 1 will begin a 10-year deal with Adidas.
