Omarr Norman-Lott remains unsigned during Kansas City Chiefs minicamp

Omarr Norman-Lott is going through Kansas City Chiefs minicamp despite having not yet signed his rookie contract. Norman-Lott was selected with the 63rd overall pick in the NFL Draft in April, taken in the second round and one of four Tennessee Football players to be drafted.
James Pearce was picked in the first round at No. 26 overall by the Atlanta Falcons. Dylan Sampson and Dont’e Thornton were both fourth-round picks. Pearce, Sampson and Thornton have signed their rookie contracts.
Norman-Lott played 23 games over Tennessee at the last two seasons, transferring to the Vols after three years at Arizona State. He had 10 tackles for loss and 9.5 sacks at Tennessee and 17 TFLs and 13.5 sacks over his five-year college career.

Norman-Lott was the ninth defensive tackle selected in the draft, which included five in the first round alone.
“I’m excited to go out there and do it and prove all the naysayers wrong,” Norman-Lott said during Chiefs rookie minicamp. “But I’m not the kind of guy that listens to all the outside chatter. I just focus on what’s at hand, stay where my feet are at and play hard.”
Rookie contracts for Tennessee’s NFL Draft picks
James Pearce signed his rookie contract with the Atlanta Falcons on May 12. It’s projected to be a four-year deal worth $16.7 million, including an $8.8 million signing bonus, according to Spotrac. The former Tennessee Football star edge rusher was the No. 26 overall pick in the NFL Draft.
The contract runs through the 2028 season and includes a club option for 2029, before Pearce would become an unrestricted free agent in 2030. His base pay will increase from $840,000 to $1,235,000 over the next four seasons, on top of the $8,842,736 signing bonus.

Dont’e Thornton signed his rookie contract with the Las Vegas Raiders on May 11, reportedly valued at $5.25 million over four years. The former Tennessee Football receiver got a $1,050,896 signing bonus.
Thornton will earn $840,000 in base pay as a rookie, going up to $1,005,000 in 2026, $1,120,000 in 2027 and $1,235,000 in 2028. He’ll be an unrestricted free agent in 2029.
Dylan Sampson signed his rookie contract with the Cleveland Browns on May 10, a deal that is reportedly worth $5.1 million over four years. The former Tennessee Football star running back was selected at in the fourth round of the NFL Draft at No. 126 overall.
Sampson’s rookie contract included a $930,564 signing bonus and carries an average salary of $1,282,641. He’ll make $840,000 in base pay as a rookie, with the money going to $1,005,000 in 2026, $1,120,000 in 2027 and $1,235,000 in 2028. He’ll be a unrestricted free agent in 2029.
