Tennessee baseball shifts weekend slate with Texas A&M due to weather

With rain and storms in the forecast for Sunday afternoon, Tennessee baseball and Texas A&M will conclude the weekend three-game series on Saturday from Lindsey Nelson Stadium with doubleheader action.
The first of the twin-bill will be played in the afternoon at 3 o’clock eastern time. The nightcap of Saturday’s doubleheader, which will serve as the series-finale, is set to begin at 7 o’clock. Both games are slated to be streaming on the SEC Network+, but that is subject to change as Game 3 of the series was supposed to bet televised.
Both games of the doubleheader will be nine inning affairs. Tickets for Sunday’s original game will be good for Game 1 of Saturday’s doubleheader. Tickets for Saturday’s original game would be good for the nightcap (Game 2) of the doubleheader.
Coming into the weekend, last time these two programs squared off was 284 days prior – as it was Tennessee and Texas A&M for Game 3 of the College World Series from Omaha on June 24. Tennessee held on for the 6-5 victory to secure its first national championship in program history. Aggies skipper darted the very next day for rival Texas and the two teams began flying in opposite directions.
