Transfer portal infielder Jarren Advincula to visit Tennessee

Tennessee will host its fourth transfer portal target of the week on Thursday when former Cal infielder Jarren Advincula takes his visit with the Volunteer coaching staff.
The Vols already hosted ETSU pitcher Brady Frederick, who ended up committing to Tennessee on Wednesday morning, and former Rutgers right-handed pitcher Landon Mack on Wednesday.
Seton Hall outfielder Aiden Robbins is set to begin his Tennessee visit Wednesday night.
Advincula is coming off a 2025 season where he earned Second-Team All-ACC honors after registering a .342 average with six home runs and 33 runs batted in over 55 games (all started). The infielder also stole 13 bases while leading Cal in hits (81), doubles (17), at-bats (237), stolen bases, multi-hit games (26), three-hit games (11) and total bases (120). He tied for the team-best in runs (48), was second in batting average and third in on-base percentage (.410).
The rising junior tallied a pair of double-digit hit-streaks, logging 15-straight from March 9 to April 4 and 10-consecutive from April 6 to April 21. As a freshman in 2024, Advincula reached base safely in 27-straight games.
Over his two-year career with the Bears, the infielder tallied a pair of four-hit contests, scored three runs in a game twice, drove in five runs against Louisville on March 29 – a game where he blasted two home runs.
Advincula has played second base in every game of his career, including 37 games for the Cotuit Kettleers of the Cape Cod League last summer. The keystone player is not draft eligible and has two years of collegiate eligibility remaining. He stands in at 5-foot-11, weighing 200 pounds – throwing form the right side while batting left. Advincula is from Santa Clara, Calif.

Baseball Transfer Portal
The 2025 non-graduate transfer portal opened on June 2 and will remain open until July 1. Players must have their name entered in the transfer portal by July 1 if they want to move on, but new destinations do not have to be made by that time.
The Vols have benefited greatly from the transfer portal in recent cycles, reeling in the likes of Chase Dollander (2022), Griffin Merritt (2023), Maui Ahuna (2023), Zane Denton (2023), Billy Amick (2024), Cannon Peebles (2024), AJ Causey (2024), Chris Stamos (2024), Liam Doyle (2025), Andrew Fischer (2025) and Gavin Kilen (2025).
So far, Tennessee has four portal additions in right-handed pitchers Clay Edmondson (UNC Asheville), Mason Estrada (MIT), Bo Rhudy (Kennesaw State) and Brady Frederick (ETSU). Tennessee has also added junior college players such as RHP Matt Barr (SUNY Niagara) and Tyler Myatt (Walters State) and picked up catcher Trent Grindlinger as a late add to the 2025 class in recent weeks.
Tennessee has lost three players to the transfer portal so far: INF Jack Jones, INF Robinson Martin and LHP Bryson Thacker.
