Tennessee Baseball Tony Vitello Previews Start Of In-season Workouts For Vols

On Thursday, the Southeastern Conference announced its baseball television broadcast schedule on the ESPN family of networks for the upcoming season with 12 of Tennessee’s 30 conference games set to be aired.

The contests on television will be broadcast on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU or the SEC Network with the remainder of Tennessee’s home games and conference road games streamed digitally on the SEC Network+, WatchESPN.com and the ESPN app. Six other ‘wildcard games’ during the final weekend of the regular season (May 16-18) will be selected t air on the SEC Network and ESPN2.

The SEC Network will broadcast the first 16 games of the Southeastern Conference Baseball Tournament while the championship game will be played on ESPN2.

Tennessee will have parts of six conference series aired on television, beginning at Alabama with Saturday and Sunday games (March 16-17) on the SEC Network. The same for Georgia at home two weeks later (March 30-31). The entirety of Tennessee’s home series with LSU (April 12-14) will be televised, with game one on ESPNU and games two and three on the SEC Network. Thursday (April 25) and Saturday (April 27) against Missouri will be on the SEC Network, Thursday (May 2) at Florida will air on ESPN2 and the final two games at Vanderbilt (May 11-12) will be on ESPNU and ESPN2.

In total, seven of Tennessee’s 12 regular season televised games will be at Lindsey nelson Stadium. The season-opening weekend at the Shriners Children’s College Showdown in Arlington, Texas (Feb. 16-18) will be streamed online through FloBaseball, which requires a subscription. Those three games will be played at Globe Life Field, home of the Texas Rangers.
