After picking up road wins at Mississippi State and LSU last week, No. 4 Tennessee returns home to host Georgia on Wednesday, the first of two games at Thompson-Boling Arena this week. The Vols and Bulldogs are scheduled for a 7 p.m. Eastern Time on SEC Network.

Tennessee (16-3, 6-1 SEC) moved up five spots in the Associated Press Top 25 on Monday, matching its highest ranking of the season at No. 4. The Vols were still “not totally” healthy as of Monday, according to head coach Rick Barnes, after missing senior guard Tyreke Key at Mississippi State and senior center Uros Plavsic at LSU, both sidelined by an illness that has been making its way through the roster.

Santiago Vescovi was under the weather during the win at LSU, according to Barnes, and did not practice on Monday due to illness.

Georgia (13-6, 3-3) has lost its last two games and three out of its last five, starting with an 82-75 loss at Florida on January 7. It was an 85-71 loss to Kentucky at Rupp Arena last Wednesday, then a home loss to Vanderbilt, 85-82, on Saturday.

A closer look at Georgia

Mike White, the brother of Tennessee athletic director Danny White, is in his first season at Georgia, after spending seven seasons at Florida. He left the Gators to take over at Georgia last March.

He went 142-88 at Florida, with a 72-52 SEC record, with one trip to the Elite Eight and the Gators ending their season in the second round three times. He went 101-40 in four seasons at Louisiana Tech, including two trips to the NIT quarterfinals.

Georgia is ranked No. 92 overall in the KenPom.com ratings, third lowest in the SEC, ahead of only LSU (118) and South Carolina (244). Georgia is No. 80 in adjusted defensive efficiency and No. 118 in adjusted offensive efficiency.

The best win for the Bulldogs this season came against Auburn, KenPom’s No. 16 overall team, on January 4, a 76-64 Georgia win at home. The Bulldogs have lost to four teams ranked 70 or higher by KenPom — Wake Forest (76), UAB (77), Vanderbilt (84) and Georgia Tech (79).
