Updating the status of Josiah-Jordan James for No. 6 Tennessee vs. Missouri

Senior wing Josiah-Jordan James is out for No. 6 Tennessee against Missouri on Saturday. James on Friday was listed as day-to-day with a sprained left ankle, with Rick Barnes saying the status of James for Missouri would be determined after the Vols practiced Friday afternoon.
No. 6 Tennessee (19-5, 8-3 SEC) hosts Missouri (18-6, 6-5) on Saturday at Thompson-Boling Arena, a 6 p.m. Eastern Time start on SEC Network. The Vols are home Wednesday against No. 3 Alabama, before back-to-back road games at Kentucky and Texas A&M.
“He was walking around (on Thursday) with a boot on,” Barnes said, “and we’ll see today once we see what happens in practice.”
James injured his left ankle with 17 seconds left in the 66-65 loss at Vanderbilt Wednesday at Memorial Gymnasium. He was helped off the floor by senior forward Uros Plavsic and team trainer Chad Newman, putting no weight on his left leg.
The regular-season schedule closes with home games against South Carolina (February 25) and Arkansas (February 28) and ends at Auburn on March 4.
