Four-star SG Jasiah Jervis sets commitment date with Tennessee Basketball in top five

Tennessee Basketball is one of the final five schools for four-star shooting guard Jasiah Jervis, who has set a commitment date of November 5. The other four finalists are North Carolina State, Michigan State, Illinois and Pittsburgh.
Jervis is scheduled to visit Tennessee next weekend, after visiting Illinois this weekend. He has already taken visits to North Carolina State, Michigan State and Pittsburgh.
The 6-foot-5, 180-pound Jervis, out of The Bronx, N.Y., is the No. 39 overall player in the Rivals Industry Ranking. He’s the No. 8 shooting guard in the 2026 class and is the No. 2 player in the state of New York.
“(Tennessee’s) guard play stands out,” Jervis told Joe Tipton, “they really trust their guards and they’re looking for a combo guard. So they’re looking for me and they’re looking for me to step in and become a key player for them.”
Tennessee has added three commitments since September 30. The Vols added three-star Chicago point guard Marquis Clark on Wednesday, after getting four-star small forward Ralph Scott and four-star Manny Green.
Clark, the 6-foot-2 point guard is ranked No. 281 nationally in the Rivals Industry Ranking. He’s the No. 55 point guard in the class and the No. 7 overall prospect in the state of Illinois, out of Whitney Young High School.
Scott committed to Tennessee on Sept. 30, picking the Vols over Purdue, Houston and Texas A&M. The 6-foot-8, 185-pound native of Bermuda, attends IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., and is the No. 57 overall prospect in the country. He’s the No. 22 small forward and the No. 7 prospect in the state of Florida.
Green, out of Cedar Grove High School in Ellenwood, Ga., and is ranked No. 104 nationally, No. 37 at small forward and No. 5 in the state of Georgia. Green committed to the Vols over Auburn and Georgia Tech, among others.

What’s next for Tennessee Basketball recruiting
Tennessee is a little over a week away from arguably its biggest recruiting weekend of the year.
The Vols, who host Duke in a sold-out preseason exhibition game on October 26, are scheduled to host five-star point guard Derron Rippey Jr., five-star small forward Christian Collins and Jervis.
Rippey is ranked No. 13 nationally and is the No. 2 point guard in the class and Collins is ranked No. 8 nationally and is the No. 3 small forward.
Vols signed No. 9 class in 2025, added three players from portal
Tennessee has nine new players on the 2025-26 roster after losing seniors Zakai Zeigler, Jahmai Mashack, Chaz Lanier, Jordan Gainey, Igor Milicic and Darlinstone Dubarlast season.
Tennessee’s 2025 signing class was ranked No. 9 nationally and No. 4 in the SEC with a class score of 92.99. The Vols signed five-star small forward Nate Ament (No. 2 overall), four-star guard Amari Evans (No. 68), four-star center Dewayne Brown (No. 96), three-star point guard Troy Henderson (No. 261) and three-star guard Clarence Massamba(No. 262).
The Vols added three players out of the NCAA Transfer Portal: former Maryland point guard Ja’Kobi Gillespie, former Louisiana Tech guard Amaree Abram and former Vanderbilt forward Jaylen Carey.
