It’s decision day for 2026 four-star prospect and Tennessee Basketball target Ralph Scott. The 6-foot-8 small forward will announce his commitment decision at 3:30 p.m. Eastern Time, picking between the Vols, Purdue, Houston and Texas A&M.

Scott, one of the fastest-rising recruits in the rankings this summer, is the No. 57 overall player in the Rivals Industry Ranking for the 2026 class. He’s the No. 22 small forward and the No. 7 overall prospect in the state of Florida, where he attends IMG Academy.

“I am looking for a developmental school that will not only allow my game to develop,” Scott told On3’s Jamie Shaw in July, “but will push me to be as good as I can be. I’ll look at the academics; they have to have my major, and I want to major in engineering.

“I’d like to play for a defensive-minded coach who is competitive and a program that is going to chase a title.”

Ralph Scott visited Tennessee on September 13

Scott visited Tennessee the weekend of September 13 and also visited Houston, Purdue and Texas A&M.

“They were saying they would use me like Kevin Durant or Dalton Knecht,” Scott told Volquest after his visit, “where I can get open shots, get into the midrange.

“The same type of stuff that Nate Ament is going to be doing. Getting open shots, getting to the rim and playing defense one through five, being a pest.”

Tennessee does not currently have a commitment in the 2026 class, but the Vols are building a crowded list of visitors for this fall and are among the final programs in the recruitment of multiple prospects.

Tennessee’s 2025 class ranked No. 14 nationally

Tennessee hosted four-star point guard Miles Sadler the last weekend of August, four-star power forward Latrell Allmond the weekend of September 13, alongside Scott, and four-star Bo Ogden, who will also announce his commitment decision on Tuesday.

Sadler is ranked No. 30 in the Rivals Industry Ranking and is the No. 4 point guard in the 2026 class. Allmond is ranked No. 29 overall and is No. 4 at power forward. Ogden is ranked No. 34 overall.

The Vols later this fall are scheduled to host four-star small forward Manny Green, four-star small forward Bryson Howard, four-star shooting guard Jasiah Jervis, five-star small forward Christian Collins and five-star point guard Deron Rippey Jr. on official visits.

Tennessee’s 2025 signing class was ranked No. 14 nationally and No. 4 in the SEC with a class score of 92.29. The Vols signed five-star small forward Nate Ament (No. 2 overall), four-star guard Amari Evans (No. 68), four-star center Dewayne Brown (No. 96), three-star point guard Troy Henderson (No. 261) and three-star guard Clarence Massamba(No. 262).
