Tennessee Basketball assistant coach Steve McClain was in to see 2026 five-star small forward and top-10 prospect Baba Oladotun, according to a report from Sam Kayser

The 6-foot-8, 190-pound Oladotun, out of James Hubert Blake High School in Silver Spring, Maryland, is ranked No. 10 overall in the 2026 class in the Rivals Industry Ranking. He’s the No. 4 small forward in the class and the No. 1 player in the state of Maryland.

Tennessee does not yet have any commitments in its 2026 recruiting class.

The Vols hosted five-star point guard Miles Sadler on an official visit at the end of August and last weekend had four-star power forward Latrell Allmond and four-star small forward Ralph Scott on campus for official visits.

The 6-foot-8, 225-pound Allmond, who took an unofficial visit to Tennessee last fall, is ranked No. 29 overall in the Rivals Industry Ranking. He’s the No. 4 power forward nationally and the No. 2 player in the state of Virginia.

Scott, listed at 6-foot-8, 185 pounds, is ranked No. 57 nationally, No. 21 among small forwards and No. 7 in the state of Florida, where he attends IMG Academy.

Tennessee hosting two prospects on visits this weekend

Tennessee this weekend is scheduled to host four-star small forward Bo Ogden on an official visit. He’s the son of Chris Ogden, the Texas men’s basketball general manager who played for Rick Barnes at Texas and was a longtime assistant coach under Barnes, including one season at Tennessee in 2015-16.

Bo Ogden, a 6-foot-5, 180-pound prospect out of Westlake High School in Austin, Texas, is ranked No. 34 overall, No. 14 at small forward and No. 4 in Texas.

It was also reported this week that 2027 five-star Gabe Nesmith will take an unofficial visit to Tennessee on October 26.

The 6-foot-5, 175-pound Nesmith is the No. 13 overall prospect in the 2027 class. He’s ranked No. 4 at small forward and No. 1 in the state of Georgia, where he plays in the Overtime Elite league.

Rivals Scouting Report — Baba Oladotun

Jamie Shaw, National Recruiting Analyst: “You immediately notice the length and the frame with Baba Oladotun. The jump shot is what he does, and it is where his production comes from at this point. He is around 6-foot-7 with long arms. His footwork getting into the jump shot is clean, and Oladotun is confident getting into it off the bounce or the catch. He is a threat as a pull-up jump shooter, getting a high release with good balance. He will need to continue adding weight, and with that, he could become a more consistent rebounder. With his length and natural athleticism, there is an upside there on the defensive end. The tools are obvious, and the upside here is worth monitoring.”
