Where Tennessee is ranked in the latest College Football Playoff Top 25

Tennessee football on Tuesday night moved up four spots No. 13 in the latest College Football Playoff rankings. The Vols debuted at No. 17 last week in the first CFP rankings of the new season. Missouri is ranked No. 14.
The Vols (7-2, 3-2 SEC) go back on the road this week to face Mizzou (7-2, 3-2) on Saturday at Faurot Field in Columbia, Mo. Mizzou lost 30-21 to No. 1 Georgia on Saturday at Sanford Stadium in Athens.
On Sunday, after the 59-3 win over UConn on Homecoming at Neyland Stadium Saturday afternoon, Tennessee moved up four spots to No. 12 in the USA Today Coaches Poll. The Vols moved up five spots to No. 14 in the Associated Press Top 25.

The Vols in the polls this season
The Vols moved up in both polls last week after the 33-27 win at Kentucky, moving up four spots to No. 16 in the Coaches Poll and two spots to No. 19 in the AP Top 25. Two weeks ago they dropped No. 19 in the Coaches Poll and No. 21 in the AP Top 25 after the 34-20 loss at Alabama.

Tennessee started the season ranked No. 12 in the AP Preseason Top 25. The Vols moved up three spots to No. 9 overall in Week 2, after the 49-13 win over Virginia in Nashville, then dropped two spots to No. 11 a week later after the 30-13 win over Austin Peay.
After the 29-16 loss at Florida on September 16, Tennessee plummeted 12 spots in the AP poll to Not 23. The Vols moved up two spots to No. 21 a week, later, dropped to No. 22 on October 1. They moved back up three spots two weeks ago, to No. 19 overall, and moved up two spots last week to No. 17.
Tennessee was ranked No. 15 in the USA Today Coaches Poll last week, moving up two spots after the win over Texas A&M. The Vols started the season at No. 10 in the Coaches Poll in the preseason rankings, released on August 7. They were ranked as high as No. 9 in the Coaches Poll before dropping 10 spots to No. 20 after the loss at Florida.
