Kickoff time, TV announced for No. 15 Tennessee's game at Mississippi State

Tennessee Football’s game at Mississippi State on September 27 will be a 4:15 p.m. Eastern Time kickoff and will be televised by SEC Network. Week 5 of the SEC schedule was announced by the league on Monday afternoon.
The game between the Vols (2-1) and Bulldogs (3-0) at Davis-Wade Stadium in Starkville was previously in the SEC’s flex window, meaning the kickoff time was going to be between either 3-4 p.m. ET or 6-8 p.m. ET.
No. 15 Tennessee will host UAB (2-1) this Saturday in a 12:45 p.m. ET start on SEC Network at Neyland Stadium, with the Vols looking to bounce back from the 44-41 overtime loss to No. 5 Georgia.
Tennessee has four games left in flex kickoff window
Tennessee has four other games in the flex window: Arkansas (October 11), at Alabama (October 18), Oklahoma (October 1) and Florida (November 22).
The road game at Kentucky on October 25 is in the night window (6-8 p.m. ET) and the Vanderbilt game is in the afternoon window (3:30-4:30 p.m. ET). The New Mexico State game on November 15 is a 4:15 p.m. ET start on SEC Network.
Mississippi State is off to a 3-0 start after a 34-17 win at Southern Miss and home wins over Arizona State, 24-20, and Alcorn State, 63-0.
State has already surpassed its win total from last season, when the Bulldogs finished 2-10, including a 33-14 loss at Tennessee, in the first season under Jeff Lebby.
Lebby was Josh Heupel’s quarterbacks coach at UCF in 2018 and offensive coordinator in 2019, before going to Ole Miss and Oklahoma.

Vols haven’t played at Mississippi State since 2012
Mississippi State quarterback and Baylor transfer Blake Shapen has thrown for 724 yards, six touchdowns and two interceptions through three games.
Fluff Bothwell and Davon Booth split carries, with Bothwell at 170 yards and four touchdowns on 30 rushes and Booth at 127 yards and a touchdown on 24 attempts.
Brenen Thompson leads in receiving with 278 yards and three touchdowns on 15 catches while Anthony Evans III has 17 catches for 210 yards and two touchdowns. Tight end Seydou Traore has five catches for 79 yards and one touchdown.
Mississippi State is seventh in the SEC in scoring offense at 40.3 points per game. The Bulldogs are 10th in rushing (178.0), eighth in passing (263.3) and ninth in total offense (441.3).
Tennessee is 30-16-1 all time against Mississippi State, dating back to 1907. The Vols have won eight of the last nine, going back to 1995, but have played just three times since 2012.
The Vols haven’t played at Mississippi State since the 41-31 loss to the Bulldogs in October 2012 and haven’t won in Starkville since the 33-21 win in October 2007.
