No. 7 Tennessee vs. Mississippi State: How to watch, stream, listen
Game day is finally here. No. 7 Tennessee hosts Mississippi State tonight in a 7 Eastern Time start at Neyland Stadium. The game will be televised by ESPN with Dave Pasch, Dusty Dvorak and Taylor McGregor on the call.
It’s the fourth straight home game for the Vols (7-1, 4-1 SEC) over the last five weeks. Since the 19-14 loss at Arkansas on October 5, Tennessee has bounced back with a 23-17 overtime win over Florida, a 24-17 win over Alabama and a 28-18 win over Kentucky.
Mississippi State (2-7, 0-5) came back from down 10-0 at the end of the first quarter against UMass last week to win 45-20, giving first-year head coach Jeff Lebby his second career win.

The Tennessee-Mississippi State Series
Tennessee has a 29-16-1 all-time record against Mississippi State, in a series that dates back to November 1907. The Vols have won 10 of the last 12, dating back to 1987, after State won three straight between 1978 and 1986.
In 2019 Tennessee was 1-4 when Mississippi State came to Neyland Stadium, after losses to Georgia State, BYU, Florida and Georgia. The Vols won 20-10 to start a run of seven wins over the final eight games of the season, including six straight to end the year.
Mississippi State beat Tennessee 41-31 in Starkville in October 2012, after the Vols had won six straight in the series (1995, 1998, 2002, 2003, 2007 and 2008).

Tennessee hasn’t lost a home game to Mississippi State since September 1986, when the Bulldogs won 27-23 in Knoxville.The Vols won 34-3 in 2008, 59-21 in 2003, 52-14 in 1995 and 26-24 in 1991.
Closer Look: Mississippi State this season
Mississippi State is off to a 2-7 start under first-year head coach Jeff Lebby. The Bulldogs beat Eastern Kentucky 56-7 to start the season, but then lost seven straight before the 45-20 win over UMass.
Last week it was a 58-25 loss to Arkansas in Starkville. The other losses came against Texas A&M (34-24), at Georgia (41-31), at Texas (35-13), Florida (45-28), Toledo (41-17) and at Arizona State (30-23).
Lebby was Oklahoma’s offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach the last two seasons, after holding the same position at Ole Miss in 2020 and 2021. He was at UCF with Josh Heupel in 2018 and 2019.
