Redshirt freshman offensive lineman Mo Clipper Jr. has committed to Charlotte, announcing the news on social media on Monday. The interior offensive lineman was the second Tennessee player to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal, making the move on December 1.

The 6-foot-5, 308-pound Clipper was a reserve offensive lineman for the Vols. He signed with Tennessee as a three-star prospect in the 2022 recruiting cycle out of Milton High School in Alpharetta, Ga.

Tennessee is recruiting at least a couple offensive lineman in the portal, including Texas A&M offensive lineman Remington Strickland and Florida’s Jalen Farmer.

Tennessee offered Strickland on December 1. He was a four-star prospect in the On3 ratings in the 2021 recruiting class out of Ft. Bend Christian in Sugar Land, Texas. He was ranked No. 297 overall, No. 17 among interior offensive lineman and No. 44 overall in the state of Texas.

Other offers that have been extended to Strickland include Houston, Cal, Colorado State, Kansas, UTSA, Illinois, Boston College, Vanderbilt, Arizona State  and SMU, according to his posts on social media

Farmer appeared in two games for the Gators this season. He played in two games during a redshirt season in 2022 as well. The 6-foot-5, 310-pound Farmer, out of Eastside High School in Covington, Ga., was a three-star interior offensive line prospect in the 2022 class.

Tennessee offensive tackle John Campbell announced on social media on December 4 that he would be returning to the Vols in 2024 for his seventh year of college football. Campbell spent five years at Miami before transferring to Tennessee.

He started the first 10 games of the season for the Vols at left tackle before dealing with an injury over the final three weeks of the regular season. He has started 27 times in 43 career games, including 18 starts in 34 games at Miami.

Clipper was one of nine Tennessee players that had entered the portal since it opened on December 4. He was the second player to enter and also the second player to announce a new commitment.

He followed redshirt defensive back Warren Burrell in the portal 10 days ago and followed Burrell’s commitment to Georgia Tech on Sunday.

Other Tennessee players that have either entered the portal or submitted paperwork to do so include redshirt senior defensive back Brandon Turnage, freshman defensive back Jack Luttrell, redshirt freshman offensive lineman Addison Nichols, senior defensive end Tyler Baron, senior defensive back Doneiko Slaughter, junior defensive back De’Shawn Rucker and senior nickel Tamarion McDonald.
