Tennessee Football’s Homecoming game against New Mexico State on Saturday is a 4:15 p.m. Eastern Time start on SEC Network, with Dave Neal and Fozzy Whittaker on the call for the television broadcast. It’s both Homecoming weekend and Salute to Service weekend for the Vols while they play host to the Aggies.

No. 21 Tennessee (6-3) is coming off a bye week, following the 33-27 home loss to No. 11 Oklahoma on November 1. New Mexico State (3-6), which has never faced the Vols, lost 24-21 to Kennesaw State at home on Saturday, losing its fourth straight game and sixth in its last seven.

Kickoff times for the final two games on Tennessee’s schedule — at Florida next week, then home against No. 16 Vanderbilt on November 29 — have not yet been set. The Vols and Gators will start at either 3:30, 7 or 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time next week at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville. The Vanderbilt game will start between 3:30 and 4:30 p.m. ET.

Tennessee will be back in an alternate uniform at home on Saturday, wearing its Military-inspired 2025 Smokey Grey uniform during Salute to Service weekend.

This season’s Smokey Grey look — the fourth alternate in the four-year Smokey Grey Series — pays homage to the United States Armed Forces during Tennessee’s Salute to Service weekend, with the new look designed in collaboration with the Tennessee Military Department, the 134th Air Refueling Wing in East Tennessee and the Tennessee National Guard.

The Vols wore their all-black ‘Dark Mode’ alternate in the 33-27 loss to Oklahoma on November 1.

BetMGM: Tennessee opens as 38.5-point favorite vs. NM State

Tennessee on Sunday opened as a 38.5-point home favorite against New Mexico State, according to odds released Sunday afternoon by BetMGM. The total is set at 61.5.

The Vols are 4-5 against the spread this season, covering a 13.5-point spread against Syracuse, a 39.5-point spread against ETSU, a 3.5-point underdog line against Georgia and as an 8.5-point line as a road favorite at Kentucky.

Tennessee has failed to cover a 38.5-point spread against UAB, a 7.5-point spread at Mississippi State, a 10.5-point spread against Arkansas, an 8.5-point spread at Alabama and a 3.5-point spread against Oklahoma. The over has hit in seven of nine games this season.
