Tennessee Football announces limited single-game tickets now on sale

Tennessee Football on Friday announced that limited single-game tickets are now on sale for home games against East Tennessee State, UAB, Arkansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico State and Vanderbilt. The Vols open the home schedule ETSU on September 6, after opening the season August 30 against Syracuse at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

The Vols announced in April that the season ticket allotment of 70,500 is sold out for a third straight year. Tennessee at the time reported another 23,755 fans were currently on a season-ticket waiting list.

Tennessee also produced an athletic department record 97.8% season-ticket renewal rate. 

“Vol Nation continues to lead the way as the best fan base in all of sports,” Tennessee athletic director Danny White said in a press release. “In this era of college athletics, it is almost unheard of to sell out over 70,000 season tickets for three consecutive seasons. The Neyland Effect will be in full force on Rocky Top this fall!”

Tennessee’s ‘Rise Glorious’ plan initially set a goal of 70,000 season tickets sold by 2026-27. The Vols hit that mark in May 2023, though, and have now repeated it three times. It’s only the fourth time in program history that season tickets have been sold out, with the 2016 season being the first. 

Tennessee has 20-game sellout streak at Neyland Stadium

Last season Tennessee averaged a sold-out crowd of 101,915 fans over seven home games, going a perfect 7-0 in front of a total of 713,405 fans. Both totals ranked sixth nationally.

Neyland Stadium has been sold out for 20 straight games, dating back to a 63-6 win over Akron on September 17, 2022. All seven home games of the 2023 season were sold out and the final six home games of the 2022 season were capacity crowds.

Tennessee is 24-4 at home during the Josh Heupel era. The Vols are 18-1 over their last 19 home games, dating back to the start of the 2022 season.

Tennessee is 20-1 at home since the start of the 2022 season, with the only loss being against No. 1 Georgia. The 20 wins since 2022 are third nationally in the FBS and tied for first in the SEC.

Tennessee opens 2025 season against Syracuse in Atlanta

The Syracuse game will be a Noon Eastern Time start on ABC at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The home opener against ETSU is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on SEC Network+/ESPN+. The SEC opener against Georgia on September 13 at Neyland Stadium will be a 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff on ABC.

UAB comes to Knoxville on September 20 in a 12:45 p.m. ET on SEC Network and the Vols go to Mississippi State on September 27 in the first SEC road game of the season. After an open date on October 4, the Vols host Arkansas (October 11) then go to Alabama (October 18) and Kentucky (October 25). 

In November the Vols host Oklahoma (November 1) and New Mexico State (November 15), go to Florida (November 22) and close the regular-season schedule at home against Vanderbilt (November 29).
