Top-150 Alabama EDGE Hezekiah Harris looking to make 'a great impact' on Rocky Top
Jemison High School (Ala.) four-star EDGE Hezekiah Harris flipped his commitment from Auburn to Tennessee earlier this fall, and he is now ready to get started in Knoxville after signing with the Vols.
“This has been really exciting,” Harris told Volquest prior to signing. “I have enjoyed getting to meet all of the coaches at the different places, and it has been a fun journey to go through, but I am ready to get started at Tennessee.”
Harris says he wants to see his game continue to grow, especially in run support, which was a major reason in his decision to choose the Vols. He believes he can get the right development on Rocky Top, and he also believes he can have an impact in Knoxville.
“I think I can go up there and get developed and start getting after it right away,” Harris said. “I think I can come up there and have a great impact and just be able to learn and develop very quickly so that I can get on the field.”

The Scout on Harris
As a high school prospect, Harris wreaked havoc coming off the edge and getting after the quarter back. He is long and shows a lot of natural instinct as a pass rusher. As he adds more tools to his kit, he will be a mismatch with his length and explosiveness off the line of scrimmage.
He has plenty of room to pack on muscle, and as this happens, he will be able to win with more than just his speed and quick twitch, and this will also help him in the area he wants to improve the most, which is developing into a three-down defender and being able to help stop the run.
Harris’ ceiling is very high, and he can be another productive pass-rusher for the Vols in the years to come.
