Tennessee fell to Georgia inside of Neyland Stadium last Saturday, but despite the loss, the Vols impressed a number of top recruits from the weekend. Volquest has the latest in this installment of Trail Tidbits. You can see the latest in the video below.

Clemson Commit Dre Quinn Makes Surprise Visit to Tennessee

“I just wanted to come over and give Tennessee a chance,” Quinn said. “I already been over here last year and the atmosphere was crazy and a great game. Going against Georgia, I knew this was going to be a crazy game down to the wire and experience. I just wanted to come over and talk to Tennessee.”

One of the key figures in the chase for the Tigers commit has been Levorn Harbin and coach Chop has made a big impression on him.

“He came into a position coaching great (players) and you saw it tonight sack after sack,” Quinn said. “Then he is working with coach Garner so it’s a lot of experience coaching them up, preparing them for the league and that’s what I like to see.”

Elite EDGE Chris Whitehead impressed by Tennessee

“It was a really good game,” Whitehead Jr. said of the visit. “I have been planing on coming to this one for some time and just been talking to Coach Chop. It was fast at first and we came up a little short, but I think if Tennessee wins that game they would have gone undefeated.

“Oh, a lot,” Whitehead Jr. said of this visit helping the Vols. “This helped them a lot. The Alabama game last year put them up here, and they are still there.”

Rivals No.1 2027 prospect Kennedy Brown impressed by Rocky Top

“Pancakes and more pancakes,” Brown said of what stood out. “That’s what I like to see and what stood out. I love the physicality and everything. They kept the quarterback clean and let him make plays.”

Tennessee offensive line coach Glen Elarbee has also impressed Brown.

“Coach Elarbee is a dog,” Brown said. “ we were talking in pregame and we started talking about football and it went from five minutes to 10 minutes to 20 minutes. It was just great and I just enjoy speaking to him. He is a great guy.”

He enjoyed his interaction with Josh Heupel as well.

Brown said this environment made him 100% want to return for more visits to Knoxville. He spoke with former five star offensive lineman David Sanders during his visit and picked his brain about why he chose Tennessee.

“I just want to continue to learn more about the whole entire program because I love the way they are,” Brown said. “I talked to David and he gave me a good sales pitch on why he chose Tennessee.”
