Trail Tidbits: Vols' looking to build early momentum in 2027 class

Tennessee did not host a large number of targets over the weekend with UAB in town, but the Vols had a couple of top targets in attendance. No.1 2027 CB Joshua Dobson attends Vols matchup against UAB

Well, this is one of my top schools,” Dobson said of what made him want to return to Knoxville. “So, I had to come back and see Neyland and the family here. I already like it.”

“You know, they weren’t really playing anybody highly ranked or anything like that, so I just enjoyed being around the family. I love the whole family here. I love talking to them, so it is just good to keep building a deeper relationship.”

Dobson got plenty of face time with the Tennessee coaching staff during Saturday’s visit.

“They have definitely made me feel like a top priority,” Dobson said. “I talk to the whole staff here. I am always getting a text or call when they can. Coach Heupel, Coach ET, Coach Banks, and man, I just love the whole staff. They show a lot of love.”

Elite In-State WR Kesean Bowman high on Tennessee after de-commitment from Oregon

Bowman has been to Tennessee on back-to-back weekends, and the Vols’ offense continues to impress him.

“It stood out a lot to me because it is like my offensive philosophy at my high school, we like to take shots, and we like to go deep. I would just say those similarities to what I am used to doing now,” Bowman told Volquest of this. “I really like how they distribute the ball out to each receiver, and I like how it is not just one receiver getting the ball. All of the guys are eating. Chris Brazzell had over 170 yards with three touchdowns and another receiver had like 94 yards and a touchdown. I just like how they get the ball to each receiver and not just one guy. I like how they all can go deep as well. It is not just one guy that can run routes.”
