Trio of Tennessee Baseball hurlers enter transfer portal
Tennessee baseball had three pitchers enter the NCAA transfer portal on Wednesday afternoon, bringing the total number of portal departures to 12 at current standing.
Junior Andrew Behnke was the most experienced lost of the bunch, appearing in 43 games over three seasons with Tennessee, combining to go 5-1 with a 3.52 ERA over 46.0 innings and 55 strikeouts to 16 career walks. The lefty appeared in just 14 games in 2025, tossing 12.1 innings with a 2-0 record and 5.11 ERA.
Austin Breedlove’s first season at Tennessee will end up being his final as the former McCallie School standout from Ooltewah, Tenn. made his way to Knoxville last summer after pitching for Cleveland State Community College. The righty went 3-0 in 2025 with the Vols, sporting a 3.42 ERA. Breedlove appeared in 25 games, making two starts, and pitched a total of 23.2 innings with 31 strikeouts to eight walks.
Freshman Beau Revord, who also played outfield for Tennessee, also entered the transfer portal. The Jefferson County High School alum redshirted in 2025.
Baseball Transfer Portal
The 2025 non-graduate transfer portal opened on June 2 and will remain open until July 1. Players must have their name entered in the transfer portal by July 1 if they want to move on, but new destinations do not have to be made by that time.
